St Swithin's

Holmesfield

Churchyard

St. Swithin's churchyard is a peaceful and sacred place in the heart of the village. Dronfield Team Ministry is responsible for the churchyard, working in partnership with the Chapel Lands Trust and the Diocese of Derby. All enquiries about the churchyard should go to the Parish Office in the first instance (details at the bottom of this page).

Gravestones and other monuments remain the property of the family, and they are responsible for their upkeep.

Our Peace Garden is a series of raised flower beds where ashes of loved ones who have died may be buried.

Churchyard Regulations

The Churchyard falls under ecclesiastical and national laws governing the preservation of historic monuments and conservation areas. Please see our handy Guide on churchyard regulations or the full regulations document.

Make a donation

We urgently need help with the rising costs of maintaining the churchyard and would be hugely grateful for any donations large or small. Please be assured that any donation is ring fenced for churchyard maintenance and cannot be spent on anything else.

How to donate

If you are able to help, donations can be left at the Parish Office, 21 Church Street, Dronfield, S18 1QB or at the Vicarage, or via our GoFundMe page here: https://gofund.me/ca44cb0e.
